Audi A4 roof bike rack with Thule 400XT roof racks and Thule 518 Echelon bike tray
The Thule 400XT base rack system installed on this Audi A4 adds a sporty flair to this fine vehicle, but its main purpose, of course, is carrying a bicycle on the roof. The Thule 518 Echelon does a great job of that and is in fact Thule’s most secure roof top bike carrier.

Audi A4 wagon roof rail bike rack system with Yakima Railgrab base rack and Yakima Steelhead Bike racks
Here’s nice sunny shot of an Audi A4 wagon sportin’ the Yakima RailGrab base system mounted to the raised side rails. The RailGrab towers can also mount to flush side rails as well as oversized side rails. Mounted to the crossars are two Yakima SteelHead bike racks. This guy has chosen to go with the Yakima 58″ Round Bars instead of the recommended Yakima 48″ Round Bars, which leaves plenty of space between his bike trays for perhaps a Yakima cargo box, cargo basket, or rooftop cargo bag.

Q: I’ve been searching for compatible options for a 2009 Audi A4 roof rack (sedan model). I can’t find any car racks that work with this car. Am I out of luck?
