A great photo of a 2010 Subaru Outback roof rack basket bike rack setup using the Yakima MegaWarrior basket mounted to the Subaru Outback wagon factory crossbars and the Yakima Boa short tray bike rack attached to the integrated crossbars located on the Yakima MegaWarrior basket.
For some 2010 Subaru Outback wagon owners, deciding which solution to choose for transporting their gear can be somewhat troublesome. Much of this was previously due to the lack of information available for selecting a 2010 Subaru Outback wagon roof rack system that is right for your needs. We recommend visiting this 2010 Subaru Outback factory roof rack article for complete details on what is available.
As indicated in the picture above, a very popular option is to mount a cargo baasket to the 2010 Subaru Outback wagon factory rack crossbars. The Yakima MegaWarrior basket is featured on this Subaru Outback wagon. This basket also includes a pair of integrated Yakima cross bars, allowing for the mounting of any gear carriers right on the MegaWarrior basket cross bars. This offers a very versatile cargo carrying solution. Simultaneously stow all your cargo luggage and camping gear in the basket while transporting skis & snowboards, bikes, kayaks, canoe, surfboards and more right on the basket. In the picture above, the Yakima Boa short tray bike rack is mounted directly to the Yakima megaWarrior crossbars.

2010 Subaru Outback Wagon with Yakima MegaWarrior cargo basket mounted to factory installed roof racks.
Here is a great way to maximize the C.C.C. (Cargo Carrying Capacity) of your vehicle. Mounted on top of the factory roof racks of the Subaru Outback is the Yakima MegaWarrior Cargo Basket. This set up allows transport of all sorts of things, but what about bikes, or kayaks, or skis/snowboards you ask? Well, although it isn’t being shown here, the LoadWarrior comes with an accessory crossbar that can be mounted to the sides of the basket. When paired with the rear tube of the frame, you’ve got two Yakima crossbars that you can use to mount your bike, kayak, or ski/snowboard carriers, leaving room in your basket for the appropriate gear. To protect your investment, we suggest a set of Yakima Basket Lock Brackets.

Photo featuring a 2003 Toyota 4-Runner roof basket and bike carriers setup using the Yakima MegaWarrior baasket and two RockyMounts PitchFork bike racks.
A car roof rack mount gear basket is a superb option that offers versatile solutions for carrying many items besides camping equipment and cargo-luggage gear. The picture above shows a 2003 Toyota 4Runner roof basket with two bike racks attached to the gear basket. The Yakima MegaWarrior roof basket is mounted directly to the 2003 Toyota 4Runner factory rack cross bars. The neat thing about the MegaWarrior is that the basket, itself, has a pair of integrated cross bars also. This allows for the attachment of all kinds of gear carriers right to the basket. In this case 2 RockyMounts PitchFork bike racks are mounted to the MegaWarrior basket crossbars. You can still place all your cargo-luggage gear, camping equipment in the basket while the bike carriers and bicycles are installed and loaded on.

Subaru Tribeca with Yakima Load Warrior Cargo Basket attached directly to Subaru Tribeca Factory Roof Racks and Yakima Steelhead Bike Racks and Yakima Wheel Forks
Wow! Thanks to Paul in Burlington, VT for showing off his sweet Yakima set up on his sweet Subaru Tribeca, which perfectly shows how nicely Yakima attachments can be mounted to the Yakima Loadwarrior Cargo Basket. Paul is no doubt a biker, and has himself three Yakima Steelhead bike racks paired with three Yakima Wheel Forks. His LoadWarrior, as you can see, is mounted directly to his Subaru factory crossbars. Perhaps he uses that to carry loads of camping gear when he’s not going biking.

A great image demonstrating a customer installation of a 1999 Range Rover basket roof rack system with the spare tire holder accessory included and also a ski rack.
Man this is a fantastic customer installation featuring a 1999 Land Rover Range Rover roof rack system with a cargo luggage basket mounted and accessories connected to the basket including a spare tire holder and ski-snowboard carrier. Specifically the Yakima Q Tower roofrack system (using 2 pairs of Yakima Q clips) is attached to the Range Rover pockets on the rooftop trim strip. The Yakima MegaWarrior roof basket with the Yakima MegaWarrior extension is connected tothe Q Tower crossbars. And because the Mega Warrior basket includes integrated crossbars, the Yakima FatCat 6 ski-snowboard rack is able to connect to the basket. The Yakima Spare Tire Holder basket accessory is used to carry the spare tire.
