Here is a great shot of a job well done.  This 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 tonneau cover bike rack system uses the Thule 430 Tracker II base rack with the TK13 Tracker Kit for permanent mounting to fiberglass.  Remember: measure twice, drill once–not the other way around!  The bike rack is a Thule 517 Peloton bike rack

If you’re hauling a fifth wheel camper, you’re not able to carry kayaks in the traditional, rear mounted way.  This 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 kayak rack with a fifth wheel camper shows you how you do it.  It is using the Thule 480 Traverse Half Pack system with Fit Kit 1528 on the cab and the Yakima Dry Dock T-Bar Hitch Rack out front.  In this case, it’s totally fine to mix and match different brands, as the Yakima round bar and the Thule square bar both accept the kayak carriers that we are seeing, which are the Thule 878 Set-To-Go- kayak saddles, the Yakima Mako kayak saddles, and two sets of Yakima Hully Roller kayak rollers

I spy a Dodge Dakota Quad Cab roof mount rack with bed mount rack using Yakima's Q-Tower Half Pack base system (Yakima Q-Tower Half Pack, one pair of Yakima Q62 Q Clips, and single Yakima 48" crossbar) and Yakima's Outdoorsman 300 Compact truck rack.

Great shot of a 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab using the Yakima Q-Tower Half Pack Base Rack System paired up with the Yakima Outdoorsman 300 Compact Truck Bed Rack using a single Yakima 58″ crossbar.  This combo is ideal for truck drivin’ folks who need adequate bar spread to carry canoes, lumber, ladders and other similar longer loads.  The Yakima Q-Tower single bar system uses the rear mounted crossbar position and is held on with a pair of Yakima Q62 Q-Clips and supports a single Yakima 48″ roundbar.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck Kayak Rack System

Terrific shot of a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck with Yakima Q-Tower Half Pack System (Yakima Q-Tower Half Pack, Yakima Q118 Q-Clips, Yakima 66" crossbar) and Yakima DryDock hitch mounted rack with Yakima 66" bar and Yakima HullyRollers kayak rollers and Yakima Mako Saddles combo.

Terrific shot of a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck kayak rack system with Yakima Q-Tower Half Pack System (Yakima Q-Tower Half Pack, Yakima Q118 Q-Clips, Yakima 66" crossbar) and Yakima DryDock hitch mounted rack with Yakima 66" bar and Yakima HullyRollers kayak rollers and Yakima Mako Saddles combo.

This customer needed to carry his kayak on his 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 and he has suceeded with flying colors.  For longer loads such as kayaks, canoes, and lumber, it’s best to achieve maximum crossbar spread between the front and rear crossbars, and this system allows that.  For the front crossbar on the truck cab, he has installed the Yakima Q-Tower Half pack system which is made up of a Yakima Q-Tower Half pack, one set of Yakima Q 118 Q clips, and a single Yakima 66″ roundbar.  For the rear crossbar, he is utilizing his receiver hitch and has installed a Yakima DryDock rack matched up with another single Yakima 66″ crossbar.  For supporting the kayak, he has a pair of Yakima HullyRollers on the rear crossbar for easy loading and unloading, and on the front crossbar he has a set of Yakima Mako saddles.  The truck bed remains empty for loading up all his gear.  Great job!

No problem mounting a trunk bike rack to a car with a rear spoiler when you use the Saris Bones 2 bike trunk rack (also available is the Saris Bones 3 bike trunk rack). The picture above shows a 2008 Dodge Charger STX trunk bike rack using the Saris 805 Bones 2. Not only does the Saris Bones win in overall design styling, the bike rack also includes many premium features such as a super easy install and setup, full car spoiler compatibility, fully padded cradles to work with virtually any size or style of bicycle and anti-sway cages so the bikes won’t swing into the back of the car or into each other.

Dodge Ram roof rack system with cap rack system using Thule 400xt base rack for the cab and Thule 300 Raingutter system for the cap.

Dodge Ram roof rack system with cap rack system using Thule 400xt base rack for the cab and Thule 300 Raingutter system for the cap.

Here’s a set up demonstrating the use of two different rack systems working in harmony to deliver some serious cargo carrying capacity.  On the cab of this Dodge Ram is the Thule 400xt base rack system for naked roofs.  On the cap is the Thule 300 Raingutter system for use with raingutters.  Add ’em up and you get a total of 8 feet, four loadbars, and one heck of a rack system.

Another very nice Inno INSU car rack system customer installation used as a 2008 Dodge Caliber roof rack. The Inno IN-SU Stays are attached to the Dodge Caliber roof top using a set of the Inno K555 Fit hooks. An older model Rocky Mounts bike rack is mounted to the Inno IN-SU roofrack cross bars.
