GMC Sierra 1500 Truck Bed Tonneau Cover Bike Rack System

Nice job.  This GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4 x 4 tonno cover bike rack system looks clean and mean.  Installed on the GMC Sierra tonneau cover is a set of Yakima 60″ tracks, which can be shortened to desired length with a good old hack saw.  Installed into the Yakima 60- inch tracks is the Yakima Control Tower Complete roof rack with two sets of Yakima Landing Pad 1 (LP1).  Carrying that nice Ibis road bike and that sweet Kona mountain bike are two Yakima Sprocket Rocket bike racks.  For security the Yakima SKS 6 pack of locks did the trick (4 locks for the Yakima Control Towers and 2 locks for the two Yakima Sprocket Rocket  bike racks).  Again, nice job.

Thought your only option for a truck rack was a system for the pickup truckbed, check out this sweet customer installation of a 2009 GMC Sierra cab roof rack with wind fairing. The system is configured using the Yakima Q Tower roof rack system that includes a set of four Q Towers,  four Yakima Q118 clips and a pair of 58 inch length Yakima round cross bars. An extra-large 50 inch Yakima fairing is connected to the front crossbar.

This GMC Envoy looks mighty fine with a nice Thule cargo box mounted directly to the factory roof racks, but don’t fall in love with this particular cargo box, because The Thule Evolution 1800 cargo box has been upgraded and is now the Thule Atlantis 1800 cargo box.

Here is a good example of how a commercial truck rack can do light duty work on its days off from hauling up to 750 pounds of contracter supplies.  The Thule 883 Glide and Set kayak rack mounts directly to the crossbars of this Thule 375 Professional truck rack.  Shown also are a set of Thule 344 Load Stops which come free with the Thule 375.
