Different seasons, different racks.  Same car.  Here is a 2006 VW Touareg bike rack for summer and the same car racked up as a VW Touareg ski and snowboard rack for the winter.  In both modes, one thing stays constant, and that is the Thule 430 Tracker II base rack system, which uses the Thule TK1 to attach to the VW Touareg roof tracks.  During ski and ride season, the Thule 91725 Flatttop 6 ski & snowboard rack hauls skis and boards to the mountain and during bike season, two Rocky Mount PitchFork bike racks carry the bikes to the trail.  I wouldn’t be surprised if a kayak or canoe rack made an occasional appearance as well.
