You’ll just have to take our word that this is a 2009 Subaru Legacy kayak trailer for two kayaks.  Have we ever lied to you? Of course not.  Regardless, what is certain, is that it is carrying a very, very nice kayak using the Malone MPG106MD AutoLoader kayak carriers mounted to the crossbars of the Malone MPG406G Microsport kayak trailer.  But it could be any vehicle as long as that vehicle has a 2″ receiver hitch and it could be set up to carry a canoe, bicycles, a cargo box etc.  The bottom line is that the Malone Microsport trailer is a great solution for carring gear and loading and unloading, especially when it comes to kayaks, is much easier than on a roof top.

How do you carry three bikes and three kayaks and still have room on the roof of your vehicle for say, a cargo basket and a cargo bag?  There’s only one way: a trailer.  This 2001 Infiniti Q4 kayak bike trailer is using the fabulous Yakima Rack and Roll trailer with 78″ crossbars.  Carrying the bikes are three Yakima Raptor Upright bike racks and carrying the boats are three Yakima HullRaiser J-style kayak racks.  Loading and unloading is a cinch since the racks are at knee level and there’s plenty of room on the roof of this ’01 Infiniti Q4 for carrying even more gear using a roof rack system which, if you look closely, is exactly what these folks are doing.

Here is how you do it folks.  If you have a 5th wheel trailer and are looking to carry kayaks, it can be tricky, so check this set up out.  This 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500hd 5th wheel kayak rack system is using the Yakima DryDock hitch mount t-bar rack (mounts to receiver hitch, which in this case needs to be mounted at the front of the truck) and the Yakima Q-Tower half pack base rack system with Q109 Clips.  For carrying the kayaks, there are two pairs of Yakima HullyRollers kayak rollers and two pairs of Yakima Mako saddles kayak racks.

This 2008 Ford F-150 kayak trailer uses the Malone MPG461G Microsport trailer package which comes with two Malone AutoLoader kayak racks.  This is a great way to transport kayaks as it makes loading and unloading as easy as can be, it leaves the roof and bed open for carrying more gear, and the kayaks always have a place for storage when not in use.

A superb photo of a 2010 Nissan Frontier kayak trailer using the Yakima RACK and ROLL trailer and 2 sets of Yakima LandShark kayak rack saddles. Two model Yakima Racks RACKandROLL trailers are available, one with 78 inch cross bars and the other with 66 inch cross bars.

This is an excellent image of a 2010 Nissan Frontier tow trailer for hauling kayaks. The ORS Racks Direct customer is using the Yakima RACKandROLL Trailer mounted to the Nissan Frontier ball mount on the trailer hitch receiver. Two sets of Yakima LandShark Saddles kayak racks are then connected to the trailer cross bars. This is a spectacular alternative to carrying gear such as luggage, bikes, canoes and kayaks on car roof top racks. With a trailer it is so convenient to load and unload the equipment at the much lower level. It’s also aerodynamic and fuel efficient because the Yakima RACK and ROLL trailer is towed behind the vehicle. Two versions of Yakima RACKandROLL Trailers are available, the Yakima RACKandROLL Trailer 78 has 78 inch crossbars and the Yakima RACKandROLL Trailer 66 has 66 inch crossbars. These trailers are also very lightweight so any car can tow them, and they fit any standard 1-7/8 inch ball mount on any class 1-1/4 inch or 2 inch trailer hitch receiver (2″ coupler for 2 inch ball mount also available). 2010 Nissan Frontier RACKandROLL kayak trailer install details

The picture above demonstrates how easy it is to install a Fleetwood camper trailer roof rack system. The 2008 Fleetwood popup camper bike roof rack setup is using the Yakima Control Towers system mounted to the Fleetwood camper roof tracks (if your popup camper does not already have tracks installed, simply mount the Yakima Tracks to the roof top and you can then connect the Yakima Control Tower roof rack system to the Yakima Tracks). The Control Tower system includes a set of four Yakima LP1 landing Pads, that attach the roof tracks, and also a pair of extra long Yakima 86 inch cross bars, which are the required length for the Fleetwood camper roof top (and all makes and models of popup camper trailers). Four Yakima HighRoller bike racks are then connected to the pair of 86 inch crossbars for transporting bikes for the entire family.
