Yakima Racks has recently launched the latest generation of Yakima RocketBox cargo roof boxes, now called the Yakima RocketBox Pro gear box series. Already a household name and the most popular car roof rack mount luggage gear boxes ever, this latest version of the Yakima Racks Rocket Boxes delivers significant improvements and innovations while still retaining very affordable prices. Lighter than ever and now UPS shippable (a dramatic advancement in shipping costs and delivery speed compared to the normal tractor trailer freight method required of virtually all other cargo boxes), the RocketBox Pros now all feature dual side opening lids for convenient access from both sides of the vehicle. The Yakima RocketBox Pro 11, by contrast, has a long length and narrow width, suited perfectly for carrying long equipment like snowboards and skis. It also takes up less roof rack cargo space than most other cargo boxes so it is possible to mount other gear carriers next to it without running out of crossbar space. And finally the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 is, you guessed it, the universal all-around option that simply does it all. It can carry all but the longest skis, yet it is short enough to work well on virtually all styles and sizes of automobiles and will allow the rear hatch door on most cars to open fully without contacting the cargo carrier.
