This picture shows how easy it is to set up a 2009 Subaru Impreza ski rack on Subaru factory rack cross rails. The Yakima Buttondown ski carrier-snowboard carrier is attached directly to the Subaru Impreza factory rack bars.

For a very clean, integrated roof rack look the Yakima Control Towers roof rack system is often a great choice. This is achieved on many of today’s new cars that feature fixed attachment points on the roof top provided by the vehicle manufacturer. The picture above is an excellent example. It is a Subaru Impreza roof rack cargo box set up that uses the Yakima Control Towers car rack system mounted to the fix-points on the Subaru Impreza roof top via the Yakima LP11 Landing Pads that are included with the Yakima Control Tower system. A Yakima SkyBox 12 cargo-luggage-ski box is then connected to the Control Tower cross bars.
