Also mounted to the Rapid Aero Bars, using the Thule X-Adapt 9 adapters, are two Thule 518 Ecehelon fork mounted bike trays and two Thule 593 Wheel Holders. This stylish 1997 VW GTI roof rack and wind fairing customer install is using the Thule 444 VW car rack specialty system mounted to the 1997 Volkswagen GTI car top, while the Thule 871XT rack fairing is connected to the front cross rail on the Thule Racks 444 roof rack. This roofrack includes Thule locks and keys to lock the car rack to the VW GTI roof top. With this multi-purpose base rack system installed it is now possible to attach virtually any gear carrier to the cross rails for transporting all kinds of equipment including surfboard, windsurfer, SUP stand up paddle board, kayaks, canoe, skis and snowboards, bikes, luggage and so forth.
