The Thule 487 Traverse Short Roof Adapter (SRA) is required for use with both the Thule 480 Traverse Foot Pack and Thule 480R Rapid Traverse Foot Pack on certain cars, minivans and pickup trucks with 2 doors, a short roofline, greatly curved roof top etc. The Thule 487 Traverse SRA allows the front and rear cross bars on the roof rack to be distanced further apart, creating the properly safe and stable configuration for attaching gear carriers to transport items such as kayaks, canoe, ladder, cargo box, ski and snowboards, bikes, surfboards and more.
